MUSIC LESSONS & TONE CONSULTING
I’m a guitarist and bassist with over a decade of experience performing, recording, and teaching across indie, Americana, CCM, and rock. I’ve played everything from small local venues to large conferences and events.
My teaching approach focuses on fundamentals, musicality, and practical playing skills so students can build confidence and start learning the music they want to play quickly. For players further along, I also help with tone, pedalboards, and dialing in sounds that work in real-world band and church settings.
Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen your playing and tone, these sessions are tailored to help you grow with clarity and confidence.

For players who know the notes but want their sound to match the music they’re hearing.
I offer one-on-one consultations for guitarists and bassists who want help dialing in their tone, building a pedalboard, or shaping parts that sit well in a band mix. This is especially helpful for players navigating modelers like HX Stomp or Pod Go, learning songs for church or professional settings, or trying to understand how effects, amps, and signal flow work together.
If you’ve ever thought “I can play the part, but it doesn’t sound right yet,” this session is designed to help you get there quickly.
Schedule a FREE 15-minute tone consultation today to determine a good fit. I’m opening a limited number of tone consultation slots each month.

This highly personalized session is designed for players who want to take the guesswork out of their tone and finally get their rig working the way it should.
Together we’ll dial in your sound, refine your signal chain, and build a preset that fits the music you’re playing. Whether you’re using an HX Stomp, Pod Go, Helix, or a traditional pedalboard, we’ll walk through how your rig is set up and make practical adjustments so everything works together.
Before the session, you can send photos of your rig, preset files, or examples of tones you’re chasing. During our call we’ll troubleshoot, shape your tone, and build a personalized preset/setup you can actually use in rehearsal, church, or live performance.
The goal is simple: walk away with a dialed-in tone and a rig that finally makes sense for your playing, your gear, and your musical context.

WHY LESSONS
Why take lessons if I can learn guitar online for free?
Online resources are helpful, but they can’t watch you play, correct mistakes in real time, or tailor material to your goals. One-on-one lessons provide feedback, structure, and accountability so you progress faster and avoid bad habits that often slow self-taught players down.
What if I’m not sure lessons are the right fit?
That’s exactly why the first session is free. It’s a relaxed conversation about your goals, musical interests, and expectations. If it’s not the right fit, you’ll still leave with helpful direction and next steps.
What do I need to bring?
Bring your own acoustic guitar. A comfortable, well-set-up instrument makes learning much easier and more enjoyable. For true beginners, I may recommend a structured lesson book after the intro session to help guide practice between lessons (typically around $30).
WHY TONE CONSULTING?
Who are tone consultations for?
These sessions are for players who already know how to play but want help dialing in their tone, organizing their pedalboard, or understanding how their gear works together. This is especially helpful for HX Stomp, Pod Go, Helix, and pedalboard users.
What happens during a tone consultation?
We’ll look at your current rig, talk through the sound you’re trying to achieve, and make practical adjustments to your signal chain, effects pedals, or presets. The goal is to leave you with a tone and setup that works reliably in rehearsal, church, or live performance.
Do I need to have the same gear you use?
Not at all. While many players use HX Stomp or similar modelers, the principles of tone, signal flow, and arrangement apply to any setup. The goal is to help you get the best sound possible from the gear you already have.
Will this actually fix my tone in one session?
Players who I’ve helped walk away with clear improvements right away. The goal is to be actionable, simplify your rig (or define it’s purpose), dial in your core tone, and help you understand why it works so you have a roadmap to keep refining it after the session.
